MARS IN PISCES

The Ten of Cups brings to a close the parade of Cups. The rapid, fiery energy of Mars brings novelty of passion and excitement to the otherwise sleepy sign of Pisces. It’s he end of the line and we will celebrate it with a bang! Furthermore, being Malkut in Briah, the Ten of Cups is the earthly pleasure, mixed with sensuality and warmth of the airy world of Creativity. We will party hard tonight – no matter what may come tomorrow!

SYMBOLISM

Earthly Happiness comes to life in this Ten of Cups’ celebration.  It is New Year’s Eve.  The festive holiday table is laden with the Champagne Tower. The liquor is flowing freely and abundantly.  Even if it all runs out tomorrow, tonight we celebrate.  It is the end of one year and a beginning of another (just like the number ten indicates and end and also a beginning through it’s numerical value of one).

The family pets are celebrating as well. There are five of them.  The number five belongs to Gevurah and, therefore, Mars. 

The light of Keter illuminates the Scene, as it shines, through Tipheret, onto Malkut, the Sephirah of the Ten of Cups. It is a reminder, that no matter how happy we are, we will need to remember where the source of true happiness comes from.
