LORD OF ESTABLISHED STRENGTH
SUN IN ARIES
The Three of Wands is Binah in Atziluth, Understanding in the world of Fire. Whereas Aces are pure potential and Twos associate with the initial energy drive of Chokmah, it is when we get to the Three, that this energy becomes ‘fertilized’. It is the receiving (negative) aspect of Binah that takes in and fertilizes the energy of Chokmah that allows it to start manifesting a form (eventually).
In Three of Wands, the Sun is in Aries, its sign of exaltation. This combination is full of vibrancy and vigor. Because this ‘marriage’ is taking place in Binah – Understanding, it is further blessed with deep meaning and purpose.
SYMBOLISM
In this card we see a child Horus. Horus was the child of Goddess Isis and God Osiris. He will grow up to be one of the most powerful gods of the Ancient Egyptian Pantheon. But here, in the number three – all of that is ahead of him. Right now, he is in the beginning stages of growth and development. His bright future is ahead.
Behind him is the sea with the Egyptian Feluka heading toward shore. In the background is the bright sun, associated with the zodiac connection of the Three of Wands.
